How can create interest of the students in Mathematics it is the question in front of every Mathematics teacher.
On hearing the name of Maths the heart of children starts beating hard. While starting any topic of Maths, teacher should introduce the students with the importance of Mathematics and relate the topic with real life.
A techer can use things available in the classroom as teaching aid. For example for teaching fraction to 3rd class he/ she can use rough page and ask to the students to tear it into equal parts ,each part may be 1/2 of the whole or 1/4 of the whole. Students will enjoy and understand it easily.
For class 6th teacher can explain proportion and relate it with cooking. We can use maths to convert the proportion of a recipe according to number of persons.
Students often ask different types of questions like :
* What is the use of Geometry in future?
* What is the benefit to learn the negative numbers?
* How we can use trigonometry in real life?
* What is the use of square root?
Mathematics teacher can answer all these questions by relating with everyday practical examples.
Architectures, engineers, astronauts and even inthe investigation of a crime scene square root, Geometry and trigonometry can be used.
In this way teacher can create interest of the students in mathematics. Students enjoy it like a game.
