Modern ! Are we?

Modernisation is a gradual and fundamental change in the life of people. We call ourselves modern by wearing trendy apparel’s, speaking English language, driving a luxurious car, holding the latest mobile phone in hand .But are these the only practices that make a person modern?

I personally think man becomes modern when his outlook becomes scientific, when he is able to overpower superstitions.

When an individual starts providing logical explanation for every action,only then can he be called modern.

Similarly , a society cannot become modern until science and scientific outlook become a part of the daily life of people.

Moreover let’s remember that a modern society is where there is equality and justice , where the poor are not exploited by the rich and the powerful . We have a long way to go before we can call ourselves truly modern.

If you want a thing bad enough

Happiness is life's most cherished goal in every continent ,in every country, in every culture. 

When people are asked "What do you want?" The most popular answer is "Happiness".

Deforestation is very bad,

"I'm a very positive thinker, and I think that is what helps me the most and difficult moments."

"A man who wins is a man who thinks he can". One of the greatest gifts to the man from nature is his ability to think and that is what makes him different from others.

Each individual is unique in his way because of his thinking. Positive thinking is all about being confident about the future of something. It is just the intensity which may vary and the thinking of a person makes all the differences. An optimistic and confident person will be determined to fight the situation instead of giving up. 

Positive thinking leads a man to success. One, who thinks that he can achieve great heights, will put his best to achieve will not be affected by the problems in the path of success and one day he will win positively. 

Every small or big easy or complex problem has its solution. There is a way out of every Labyrinth and there is answer to every enigma. The only requirements are the confidence, hard work and determination and you get the answer because "where there is a will there is a way".

Never lose hope remain cheerful put the best foot forward with your total involvement and commitment.

 छुट्टी तो आती है पर कोई आराम नहीं आता,

 क्यों औरत के हिस्से में उसका इतवार नहीं आता ।

देखो देखो सुबह हो गई सरपट सरपट भाग रही ,

सब तेरा ही है पगली यह सोचकर नाच रही।

 फिर भी कोई चूक हुई तो सुनती काम नहीं आता ,

क्यों औरत के हिस्से में उसका इतवार नहीं आता ।

एक अकेली नार  यहां पर जाने क्या-क्या काम करें ,

उसका कुछ भुगतान करें तो शायद तुम को पता चले ।

घर की स्त्री को साहब कोई व्यापार नहीं आता,

 सोती है वह आखिर में और सबसे पहले जागती है,

 होती है वह पीड़ा में फिर भी देखो हंसती है।

IMPORTANCE OF TOYS FOR KIDS DEVELOPMENT

 

Toys are fun and any child, no matter the age, will attest to that. Toys have the potential to 

teach in many ways as well as play a positive role in a child’s educational, social, emotional 

and physical development. Play is the best way by which children learn how they experience 

their world, practice new skills, and develop ideas. Physical, emotional and mental capacity 

are all a direct correlation of the environment a child grows in, especially the types of toys 

used during the child development stages. Genetics will play a role in the child development process and there are other factors as well that will be influenced through learned behaviors while playing with toys such as; family structure, nature surrounding/ environment, and basic education concepts. Children also get to know about the sharing, that is the best quality of a human being. They also use their imagination to play with the toy or to operate the toy that is good for brain development and also encourage them to interact with others 

Overall, toys play a vital role in children’s growth ( physically & mentally) which is necessary 

in later life as it enhances children’s cognitive behaviour.

It is better to light a candle than to curse Darkness

A candle always burn itself to dispel the darkness. Cursing the darkness signifies our Acceptance of defeat and our Reluctance to change . It is rightly said that no one can change a bad beginning  but anyone can start now and create a successful ending. Hard work and positive attitude strengthens us to face the difficulties of our life very easily. If an opportunity is missed,we must not fill our eyes with tears because it will hide another  better opportunity. APJ Abdul kalam wanted to be a fighter pilot but he was rejected. He didn’t lose heart but kept on moving his goal diligently  and persistently to become the missile man of india. A famous painter has depicted this thought through a painting of a young woman who is playing a violin. All the strings of the instrument are broken except the only one on which she is playing. The painting encourages us to have a positive attitude in countless shades of life. Only when gold is heated can it be turned into ornaments. The more pain you get, the more smarter you become.

Women's life-A struggled life

Without any doubt we can easily say that women's life is full of struggles.From the very first day till the end, her life keeps on thinking that what should she do to carry out various activities. When she was studying in school, her focus was on what to do in future.Some believe that girls should be confined to household activities not more than that.Before marriage,she was like a burden on their parents. 

When she got married, her focus goes on her husband and family. She forgets everything about herself. She gets completely lost.When she has children, her focus is on their education,their overall development. Like this,we can say that even if she has education, but still she lacks equal access to opportunity. She has to fight for her rights. In the last,we can conclude that governments are now trying to roll back the hard-won  rights of women and girls so that they can achieve gender equality and inclusion.

ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਕੱਲ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਹਨ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੇਕਰ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਰਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਣਗੇ।ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ(Discipline) ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਬਣ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

The saying 'Health is Wealth' is still relevant.Today's sedentary life and its adverse consequences have made the need of health care all the more in dispensable.

Life style diseases like diabetes and hypertension have gripped mankind in their cursing jaws.Sedentary life style leads to inactivity and this leads to obesity.The problem does not end here.An obese person is readily prove to hypertension,diabetes and heart problems.It is feared that if we fail to fortify and supplement our food with proper exercise,we will be dubbed as a nation of 'Under Achievers'.Medical surveys have revealed that our people are suffering from shocking vitamin and mineral deficiency.So,the need of the hour is to remain fit and fine.Our mind goes sick if our body is sick.Remember, a healthy mind is in a healthy body.A sick person can't perform his bodily,intellectual and spiritual functions properly,we have no option but to big good bye to sedentary life and make physical exercise part and parcel of our life.We have to change our life styles and give due importance to our diet.To be fit both physically and mentally, the only 'Mantra' is a kick away ruthlessly our sedentary lifestyle and adopt nutritious diet.

PUBG Mobile Game : Addiction for Students and Children

PUBG is a term you must have probably heard by now. It is the abbreviated form of Player Unknown’s Battleground. Basically, it is a video game which is a multiplayer battle royale game. It is very famous all over the world. However, the entertainment factor does not mean it is all good. The game has become viral and is played by billions of people. The players have become addicted to this game. Moreover, it is hampering their quality of life. The craze for this game spread amongst all the age groups.

What started as a recreation game has now turned into an addiction. It is severely impacting the lives of the players and also resulting in various crimes. For instance, a boy killed himself due to PUBG mobile game addiction. The game interferes greatly with the studies of a person. The students who should be studying waste their time on this game. This results in neglecting studies and also in reduced levels of concentration. It is so because this PUBG mobile game addiction slows down their brain activity. Their ability to grasp things and focus just lowers. Even research suggests that the academic performance of PUBG players is dropping massively.

Similarly, the people who are working are also addicted to this game. It hampers their work and makes them lose the target of their goals. They are busy playing PUBG instead of focusing on their careers. Even more, than the players take leaves or skip meetings just to play this game endlessly. Due to this addiction, they also miss their deadlines and don’t fulfill their duties.

Furthermore, PUBG mobile game addiction ruins the relationships of people. It has even done so as there have been cases of breakups and divorces due to this game. People spend all their time on this time instead of with their family and friends. It strains their relationships and causes pain. Similarly, it has also resulted in many crimes of murder and suicides. 

We all know that excess of anything is bad, be it a video game or anything. However, one must also know that we can control any addiction by proper measures. To begin with, try to lessen the time you spend on the game. Leaving it all of a sudden is impractical so set aside a fixed time and try to play it in that specific one. Similarly, try to divert your mind. Do not always stay indoors. Go out and indulge in physical activities. When you will have other things to do, your mind won’t go towards the game. So, meet your friends and take up other hobbies.

Moreover, try to spend time with your family instead of scrolling through the phone or playing your game. When you will be surrounded by your loved ones, you will not care about anything else. So, utilize your time carefully instead of playing PUBG.

The 21st century can be termed as the era of electronic gadgets . It has made us techno Savy and we have almost resorted to slavery to these gadgets .The most important of these gadgets has been the mobile phone . It is not only used as a communication device but  also used to match our fast paced lifestyle. These days people (especially teenagers and youngsters) want to  keep the latest mobile phones.
